Our Story

zenith-glide began in 2014 from a straightforward observation: most financial advice was designed for people who already had substantial wealth. Ordinary Sheffield residents—teachers, shop owners, healthcare workers, young professionals—often felt excluded from quality financial guidance.

We set out to change that. Starting from a small office near Sheffield Cathedral, we built a practice focused on accessibility and practicality. Our approach was never about complex investment strategies or exotic financial instruments. It was about helping people understand their money, make better decisions, and sleep easier at night.

Twelve years later, we've grown into a team of eight financial professionals, but our core mission remains unchanged. Every client receives the same level of attention and expertise, whether they're managing a household budget of £2,000 per month or running a business with annual revenues in the hundreds of thousands.

What We Believe

The principles that shape how we work with every client.

Financial Education Empowers

We don't just manage your finances—we help you understand them. Informed clients make better long-term decisions, and that's more valuable than any single piece of advice.

Circumstances Vary, Principles Don't

The fundamentals of sound financial management apply whether you earn £20,000 or £200,000. What changes is the application, not the underlying wisdom.

Progress Over Perfection

Waiting for the perfect moment to improve your finances means waiting forever. Small, consistent steps taken today beat ambitious plans that never materialise.

Honesty Even When Difficult

Sometimes the right advice isn't what you want to hear. We'll tell you the truth about your financial situation, even when it's uncomfortable.

Local Matters

Sheffield isn't London or Manchester. Property prices, employment opportunities, and cost of living here have their own patterns. Local knowledge shapes better advice.

Relationships Over Transactions

Financial wellbeing isn't achieved in a single meeting. We build long-term relationships because that's what genuine financial progress requires.

Our Sheffield Commitment

We're invested in this city beyond our client work.

Community Financial Workshops

Every quarter, we run free budgeting workshops at Sheffield Central Library and community centres across the city. These sessions cover basics like creating a household budget, understanding credit scores, and avoiding common financial pitfalls.

Over 800 Sheffield residents have attended these workshops since 2018. We believe financial literacy should be accessible to everyone, regardless of whether they become clients.

Supporting Local Business

Sheffield's independent business community is its lifeblood. We offer reduced rates for first-year businesses and provide pro bono consultation to local social enterprises working on community benefit projects.

We've supported ventures including a cooperative café in Sharrow, a community repair shop in Heeley, and several social housing initiatives. When Sheffield's small businesses thrive, the whole city benefits.

Frequently Asked About Us

We're small by design. You'll work with the same advisor throughout your relationship with us, not be passed between departments. Our advice is tailored to Sheffield's specific economic context, and we're genuinely accessible—not hidden behind automated phone systems.

Occasionally, yes—particularly for business clients across South Yorkshire. However, our focus remains on Sheffield and surrounding areas. Our local knowledge is a core part of the value we provide, and we believe in doing a smaller number of things very well.

We use straightforward fee structures—hourly rates for consultation, fixed fees for specific services like tax returns, and monthly retainers for ongoing support. We never earn commissions from financial products we recommend, ensuring our advice is always in your interest, not ours.

Absolutely. We offer an initial consultation where we discuss your situation, explain how we might help, and give you a chance to decide whether we're the right fit. There's no obligation and no pressure. Good financial relationships are built on trust, and that starts with an honest conversation.
